Well I have to say it was not that long ago that I did not even know what a blog was!

I guess in a way this is my chocolate journal that keeps you up-to-date with inspired-by-chocolate-and-cakes.com easy chocolate recipes and all things chocolate!

It lets you know when I have new or updated pages and any other chocolate inspirations I have to share. New recipes and anything to do with the world of chocolate. This is going to be Fun and Delicious!

Sorry I've been quiet lately I have been swamped with cakes!

I also seem to be getting a lot of "Where do you get your pink foil paper cases on your breast cancer cupcake page?" requests. Well I am based in Australia but the cake decorating supply shop that I use has said that they could ship to the UK or USA if you need them to.

Ok I need to tell you that I have just added this little girls 6th birthday cake to my birthday cake ideas page. She was having a hawaiian theme party and to jazz it up a bit I added some bling to the number 6.

Pink Poodle Birthday Cake Idea

I am really pleased with this pretty pink poodle birthday cake I have just finished. It was made for a little 4 year old girl that just had to have a pink poodle cake this year!

I have also just added the most amazing magic hat birthday cake. I worked with the childrens mother on the design matching the 3D birthday party invitations she had gone to so much trouble to make.

Halloween cake decorating ideas coming soon!

I just wanted to let everyone know I am spending the next few days working on halloween cake decorating ideas.

I will be uploading simple halloween cupcake decorating ideas. Halloween chocolate dipped strawberry ideas and will show you some of my halloween decorated cakes that I make under my business Inspired By Michelle Cake Designs.

All of these will first come out in the next issue of my Chocolate Inspirations Ezine - subscription is free.

New look to inspired-by-chocolate-and-cakes.com

Time to have a mini celebration!

In response to my Inspired By Michelle Cake Designs needing a new business card and advertising my sister who just happens to be a freelance graphic designer came up with the most fantastic designs.

She really put what was in my imagination into reality for me. I now have cards and flyers that represent and showcase the quality of my cakes.

She then put together a file that I could use to improve my header and nav bar background utilising the same look. I then changed my nav buttons and other details to blue. I think the whole look is lighter and fresher than my original look. It still combines my favourite combination of browns and blues but in a much nicer way.

So it is a big THANK YOU to my sister. I think the design of my site and my photos must drive her and my brother who is also a graphic designer crazy. I just concentrate on the content and try and tell the story the best I can. So I have also bought myself a light tent so that the photographs of my cakes and chocolate recipes should improve - well that is the theory!!!!
