Inspired By Michelle is the cake design business that I have established through my passion for cake decorating.

I have been designing and decorating cakes for more than 20 years but it is the wonderful response to my Inspired By Chocolate And Cakes website that has re-ignited my love of decorated cakes that has pushed me to open my own business.

I love a design challenge and this is a little slideshow of some of my recent cake designs.



Inspired By Michelle Cake Designs is based in Sydney, Australia but that does not mean that you can not enjoy my designs if you live elsewhere. This part of my site is not just about building my business but to share cake decorating ideas with everyone.

I hope that you will use my cakes as inspiration in your own cake decorating adventures. This is what is so wonderful about the internet we all now have this vast resource filled with cake pictures, ideas and information that we can access no matter where we are.

As a hospitality operator, I must say Michelle's cakes are 6 star. THE ARTISTRY: some of the best I've seen. Michelle presented 3 cakes in a Sydney restaurant yesterday, all patrons were captured by her decorating skills. FLAVOR: the delicious and distinctive chocolate flavor was rich and smooth, obviously made from fine premium couverture. TEXTURE: moist, fine, dense, smooth and easy on the palate. I will certainly be ordering again and recommending Michelle's cakes to others.

I decorate cakes for all occasions and deliver (or pick-up can easily be arranged) throughout Sydney. You can see galleries of my recent cakes by clicking through to my Cake Decorating Ideas page. From there you will be able to find

Just a little bit of information about my cakes - well actually the choices you have for what goes on under the fondant icing.

Cake flavours to choose from are Chocolate Mud, White Mud, Marble, White Coconut, orange/poppy seed and Caramel. The cakes are all layered with either Dark Chocolate or White Chocolate Ganache before being covered with the fondant icing and decorated.

These are not the limit but the most popular flavours - I did once make a Chocolate Chilli Cake!

I also use a fruit cake recipe that I have been making for years now but I do ask if possible that you to give me 1 months notice if placing an order with a fruit cake tier.
