Birthday cake ideas, the internet is an endless resource when choosing a birthday cake design.You can use photos of other peoples cake decorating ideas to take to a cake designer or as inspiration to make your own unique birthday cakes.

Fondant birthday cakes are very popular especially for that very special first birthday cake.
And it goes without saying that my chocolate cake recipes make delicious bases for any decorated cakes. At this link you will find recipes for my dark chocolate cake and white chocolate cake both of which I use as my birthday cake recipe base.

All my cakes have generous layers of either dark chocolate or white chocolate ganache underneath the rolled fondant icing. You want to make your own cakes you can find both the ganache recipes in my fillings and frosting pages.
